Slowly but Surely: My Summer Wardrobe Is Creeping In!
So the last week was the start (or may be the last) of our English Summer! Being able to throw on my tuxedo blazer as my only outerwear felt so good! There is something special about summer; London commuters tend to smile more, gas bills are slightly less and most importantly the trends on the High Street are lot more fun!
Today I was gently woke up at 7am by mother nature’s alarm (SUNLIGHT) and began introducing a few summer pieces to my dull and bulky Winter wardrobe. I decided not to go over board as we are in England and the weather is unpredictable, so here is my selection!
Floral Print Shorts (Zara last season)
Geo Print Trousers (Topshop Sale)
Tuxedo Blazer (Urban Outfitters Sale)
Stripe Jacket (H&M 2011)
Shop Spotlight: ANYplace // Japan
Owned by a friend of mine, ANYplace is a treasure-trove for the fashion conscious shopper. The shop’s atmosphere has a contemporary clean feel with an intimate twist which is complemented by the choice of brands on display. From the simple silhouettes of Base Range to the Parisian Chic designs of Quenotte each brand sit in harmony with each other, one rail to another!
Situated in the heart of Osaka means its a little out of my way to get to, however with some of my favourite brands under one roof its definitely on my wish list of places to visit!
Dear Mrs Strappy Sandals & Miss Cat-Eye
It’s officially Summer! With the clocks going forward last Sunday the days have been getting longer however the sunshine seems to be MIA! I was hoping to bring my Spring/Summer wardrobe forward this week and pack away all my cosy knits…but I guess that was just wishful thinking. Its been nearly over a year and I was really looking forward to reacquainting myself with you guys, its a shame our meeting will have to wait! Fingers crossed the Sun will show up soon and we can rekindle our holiday romance.
Sincerely Yours
Summer’s Biggest Fan
